Castlemaine Zen sangha member Simon Patton will be in conversation with Meredith McKinney at the Bendigo Writers Festival. Meredith McKinney is one of Australia’s most distinguished translators of Japanese literature, and she will be talking to Simon (himself a translator of Chinese poetry) about what drew her to translation, whether her approach has changed over the years and what she thinks makes a good translation.

Simon’s most recent publication is Selected Poems: Yu Jian, published by Renditions Paperbacks.
