To celebrate another great year together we will meet for Rohatsu, the Buddha's Enlightenment Day, on December 6 from 9am - 12pm.
This will be our final gathering for 2026, so please join us for a silent walk, shared picnic and traditional ceremony of 108 bells surrounded by trees, wind, granite and each other.

BYO Shared Morning Tea
The morning will start at the Leanganook Camping Area (map). We’ll enter silence and begin our yatra, breaking for morning tea along the way to explore the Buddha’s Enlightenment story. After that we’ll re-enter silence and begin our ceremony of 108 bells. This is our customary way of celebrating the seamless passing of one year into another.
Don’t forget to bring sturdy boots, water, sunhat (and umbrella if it's wet), as well as something delicious for morning tea. Family, friends and children very welcome!
