Mutual Support — Dana
Zen practice is underpinned by dana—mutual support—which sustains and energises the buddha Way.
Ever since Shakyamuni Buddha stepped into teaching and inspired the sangha, buddhist practice has been supported by sangha members, householders, friends and local families. In a lay sangha such as ours, activity is nourished by volunteers, workers, regular donations and spontaneous contributions. Without this support our tradition would not be able to flourish.
Dana (giving) is a direct expression of gratitude for the teachings and the depth of community participation. If you value our sangha and our teacher, you are strongly encouraged to offer dana by contributing directly to our sangha account:
