Mutual Support — Dana

Zen practice is underpinned by dana—mutual support—which sustains and energises the buddha Way.

Ever since Shakyamuni Buddha stood up from beneath the bodhi tree and started teaching, buddhist practice has been supported by sangha members, householders, friends and families. In a lay sangha such as ours, the practice is nourished by volunteers, workers, regular donations and spontaneous contributions. Without this support the tradition would not be able to flourish.

Dana (giving) is not fee-for-service, but rather a direct expression of gratitude for the teachings and the depth of community participation. If you value our sangha and our teacher, you are strongly encouraged to offer dana by contributing directly to our sangha account:

You may consider offering a once-only payment, or establish a weekly set-and-forget amount. It’s up to you. Whatever you decide, your financial support will always be warmly received and helps our tradition to touch more lives.

The practice of Zen in this greedy world—
This is the power of wise vision.
