Zazenkai (Rohatsu)

  • Castlemaine Zen 133 Duke St Castlemaine Australia (map)
online buddhas.jpg

Our last zazenkai for 2019 coincides with Rohatsu, a day traditionally set aside to mark the Buddha’s enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree.

Join us for sutra chanting, zazen (seated meditation), kinhin (walking meditation) and dokusan (interviews with apprentice teacher Kynan Sutherland).

We will end with a formal ceremony of 108 bells. These bells mark the passing of time and are an opportunity on our lives this year.

Beginners are welcome, and if you would like to arrange an orientation please contact us here.
